We were Austria’s first social business to give people with refugee backgrounds a chance in the job market. To find work or training opportunities far from rejection based on origin, religion, language barriers, or skin color. Because even today, it’s still difficult for people with refugee backgrounds to find jobs in Austria. Here, they gain access to the job market and become hosts themselves.

Those who want to explore the world should also be able to rest well. Our guests can look forward to 85 rooms featuring upcycled design.
We stay true to our motto: “upcycle the world”!
The former priests’ residence dates back to the 1960s. A blend of new, re-used, and upcycled furnishings, created by Vorarlberg artist and architect Daniel Büchel and the architecture firm BWM, reflects the colorful diversity of magdas.
Many volunteers supported us this time, too: Together with the Material Nomads, we refurbished lamps, and with the Wiener Times sewing collective, unique cushions were made for our new house. Volunteers from BOKU helped our new garden bloom on the former parking lot. The Caritas day center in Retz took care of our old armchairs, and artist Michaela Polacek beautified our hallways with her drawings.

We are here for everyone. We have space for wheelchair users and warmly welcome all guests with disabilities to our barrier-free hotel in Vienna.

Most of our furnishings come from resource-saving re- and upcycling production.

Whether by subway, tram, bus, or rapid transit: from Wien Mitte, you enjoy excellent connections. Plus, you can travel directly from here to the airport or main train station without having to change trains.
Thanks to this central location, our employees also avoid having to embark on a world tour just to get to work.
