In the middle of the countryside, far away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, a place has emerged from an idea that is quite unique today.
In a small, quiet place of pilgrimage, the old vicarage from 1886 offers comfort and an eye for detail. Transformed into a place for contemporary art, culture and architecture. In 2019, something new was added: a modern building by two young Swiss architects, an exciting contrast between old and new that gives the whole thing a very special dynamic.
The infinite view over the Upper Palatinate Jura is simply a poem and, to be honest, you can hardly get enough of it.
And with a bit of luck, foxes and hares really do say good night or good morning to each other here. And right in front of your eyes.
Our garden is a little paradise. For bees, insects and just as much for us humans. A place to smell, look, try things out – or simply to be.
Time somehow slows down here. The focus on the essentials comes back all by itself. And suddenly there is room for new thoughts again. What more do you really need?
It was our vision to create something truly unique in the middle of the countryside.
A garden to taste, smell, see and marvel at, where time stands still for a while and you come to yourself.
Everything is heated with biogas, vegetables come from our own garden, meat from our cattle. In this way, the hosts support local circular flows and avoid unnecessary transportation.
At the same time, we work closely with regional businesses, source products from the surrounding area and thus support not only our guests, but also the people around Waldkirchen.
The gallery is located in the middle of beautiful nature, including peace, views and fresh air. It takes around 1.5 hours to get here from Munich and around 45 minutes from Nuremberg or Regensburg.
The best way to get here is with your own car or with a small shuttle, which we are happy to organize on request. This way you can arrive relaxed and immerse yourself directly in the special atmosphere of our location.
